Location of

flying students are fortunate to be in real close proximity to the well known
Golden gate Highland National Park. "Golden Gate" refers to the impressive
sandstone cliffs that are found on either side of the Valley at the Golden Dam.
It was proclaimed as a National Park in 1963, specifically in order to preserve
the scenic beauty of the area and is 116.33km(28,746) in extent. In 2004, it was
announced that the park would be joined with the neighboring QwaQwa National
Park. The park derives its name from the brilliant shades of gold cast by the
sun on the park's sandstone cliffs, especially the imposing Brand wag rock,
keeping vigil over the main rest camp. This place can be visited , horse riding
is available and varying degrees of hiking trails exist. Those who like water
Loch Athlone Dam and Sol Plaaitijies Dam are 10 minutes drive away!
Bethlehem -
It's big enough to have a movie house but small enough for the famous rural
friendliness.
Aircraft
The aircraft
in which you will be trained is either brand new or classic-whatever your
choice, with a 100% maintenance record. The staff and instructors are informed
but professional. We like to think that you will find us friendly (country
style) and be treated like family. Due to the spectacular views from the cockpit
we use Cessna 172 mainly for Mountain\Bush flying courses. Multi Engine rating
is provided in Piper Seneca.
Weather
The free state
weather is also ideal for flying; no thunderstorms and no fog. Bethlehem has
clear blue skies they call it Big Sky Country.
Accommodation
AeroCare
Flight Academy provides excellent accommodation, which is walking distance from
the school and airport. The accommodation offers a fully equipped kitchen is
provided to make your own meals.
