PFC FACILITIES

PFC provides numerous opportunities for the students upon successful completion of the pilot training including placement options, career tracking and guidance to ensure the student is on the "fast track" to a long and successful career as a professional pilot.

LOCATION

PFC IS located in the main terminal at Boundary Bay Airport (CZBB), which goes from being 5th to 3rd busiest airport in Canada, with only LB Pearson (Toronto) and Vancouver Intl. ahead. Calgary Intl. Montreal Dorval, and Montreal St. Hubert are usually on par with CZBB. There are over 100,000 circuits done here on an annual basis.

CZBB is located just South of Vancouver, BC. From the airport, you can be downtown Vancouver within half an hour by car or about 45 min by bus. It is right on the ocean with a beautiful view and a lot of different terrain to fly around. We have water, mountains, plains, plus International airports, uncontrolled airports, and grass strips to fly to.

STAFF

PFC has qualified and well experienced 5 Certified Flight Instructors. They are backed by experienced management staff to offer you a complete training.

GROUND SCHOOL

PFC uses the modern teaching aids and provide top quality ground training and utilizes the Computer Based Instruction program. This practical approach ensures that the student gains a sound foundation of the theoretical material. This is required to achieve a solid pass mark on the Transport Canada written exams. Just as important, the student comes away with the all important big picture and becomes a more complete pilot as a result. Students from this class achieve marks well above the national average.

AIRCRAFT

PFC is equipped with modern avionics. They have aircraft that fit all needs, from basic training aircraft to advanced multi-engine turbo prop equipment far exceeding the CAR standards.

AIR FIELD

PFC operates from the Boundardary Bay Airport. A well equipped modern Air Control Tower with VFR and IFR facilities, 2 Runways all makes the training a complete one with the experience of flying into an International Airport.

HOUSING

PFC provides furnished apartments for short term housing for students.

The accommodation's are located on the Boundary Bay Airport perimeter, well within walking distance to our Boundary Bay facility. They are affectionately known as The Farmhouse's and offers a rural environment although very close to Vancouver proper. Transportation to and from the school, shopping, etc. can be arranged.

Each person gets their own private room, and has full access to the well equipped kitchen. It is outfitted with TV, VCR, barbeque and washer and dryer. The cost is $600/ month (appx.) , depending on the room. People have really enjoyed staying there. It is a friendly, quiet, and relaxed environment conducive to studying and promotes good camaraderie among fellow students.

The house's are equipped with a computer that has a high speed Internet cable connection.

By staying at the Farmhouse's, people have made life long friends and contacts. Some people have even secured jobs via these companions and connections!

OTHER PROGRAMS

PFC also offers Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) Programs, Helicopter Training, Sea Plane Rating and other customized programs. You can always contact the admission department by giving your present levels and the required ratings for planning your admission.
