The College is one of the premier college run by UK Government and has been
conducting AME courses since 1964.
The College has got more than 30000 students with 10 campuses offering variety
of courses and partnered with number of universities including UWE, University
of Plymouth, Kingston University, Bath Spa University, University of Bristol and
University of Bath.
Eligibility: HSC/+2 with Maths and Physics
English Level: 6 bands. If more than 60% in English, IELTS may be waived.

Course Description
The course is designed to offer a full and comprehensive training programme for
aircraft maintenance technicians; both mechanical and avionics options are
offered. The standard course length is three years, however for those with HSC/
A Levels in Maths and Physics, an accelerated two year programme is available.
On successful completion of the course candidates will attain a Foundation
Degree in Aircraft Engineering and a European Union recognized EASA Part 66
Basic Training Certificate B1 (Mechanical) or B2 (Avionics) for aircrafts
maintenance engineers. The course includes work on the college's aircraft and a
10 week placement at an approved aircraft maintenance engineering company.
Syllabus
First year: Course covers as per EASA level 1/2: Maths/Physics/Electrical
Fundamentals/Electronics Fundamentals/Digital Techniques & Electronics
Instrument Systems/Aircraft Materials & hardware/Aircraft Maintenance
Practices/Basic Aerodynamics/Aeroplanes Aerodynamics, Structures and systems/Gas
tubines and Propellers/Human Factors/Aviation Legislation.
Second year:
Category B1(Mechanical)- the subjects are similar to the first year and
will be taught at EASA Level 2/3.
Category B1(Avionics) - the subjects are similar to the first year and
will be taught at EASA Level 2/3.
Assessment
Foundation Degree - assignment and end of module examinations. EASA Part 66 -
multi choice examinations and practical assessment.
Progression
On successful completion, to Kingston University to study for a BEng (Hons) 1
year full-time or 2 years part-time.
Part Time work
Opportunities are enormous. One can work for 20hrs/week and earn about 150-200
pounds per week.
Employment Opportunities
As a qualified aircraft maintenance engineer, your earning potential is
