Bachelor of Engineering (Aerospace Engineering):

 As with all fields of engineering, aerospace engineering is complex and demanding, requiring talented, creative and highly motivated people. People considering entering the aerospace engineering programme need well-developed skills in mathematics and the physical sciences because aerospace is a highly analytical field of engineering. In addition, all engineers are required to have good communication skills. The aerospace industry is international and export-oriented. The emphasis is firmly on value-added design and manufacture activities which are internationally competitive and which make effective use of the excellent standards of RMIT`s aerospace education.

Professional Recognition

The degree is accredited and satisfies the requirements of Engineers, Australia and Singapore Institute of Engineers. Corporate Membership may subsequently be gained after a period of approved professional experience.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

A recognised Polytechnic mechanical Engineering Diploma or equivalent

SIC Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

STRUCTURE 2 Academic Years (Full Time / Part Time)

This programme is conducted by lecturers from both RMIT and SIC. There are 4 terms per year with students undertaking 2 to 3 modules per term. There will also be 2 one-week residential visits to RMIT University during the course of the programme
